- Mbale Heroes attempts to return to top flight football started on a wrong note when they were held by CRO as the Mbale division one league kicked off at the weekend. The league comprises ten teams; CRO, Mbale Heroes, Kataka, Nakaloke, Busamaga, CRO Junior, Kaira, Soccer Art, IUIU and Manafwa High.

JMC draws very fast route
- The JMC Independence Rally in Busoga this weekend will be extremely fast, officials have said. Clerk of course David Nsobya has designed a route which is 85% fast and smooth for drivers taking part in the last race of the 2008 National Rally Championship (NRC) calendar. 18 drivers, including 2008 national champion Dr. Ahmed Ashraf have registered.

Chekwel on track today
- Juliet Chekwel and Alex Cherop will feature in 1500m race semi-finals at the Commonwealth Youth Games in Pune, India, today. Due to the small entry in the long distances, Doreen Chesang, Moses Kibet and Dickson Huru will have their first feel of the track in the 3000m and 5000m final.
