Chairman Nandala
BUDADIRI West MP Nandala Mafabi and chairmanship are synonymous. Nandala chairs the powerful Public Accounts Committee. The legislator, who President Museveni devoted time deriding, while on a tour of his constituency recently, seems to enjoy the title and prefers being addressed as chairman Nandala. At least on radio talk shows.

Amazing Tinkasimiire

Buyaga MP Barnabas Tinkasimiire has his own way of looking at the NSSF Temangalo saga and to has vowed stop at nothing to defend the transaction even if it means going to court. Tinkasimiire thinks that politics has overtaken reason in the saga. “If it means going to court we will go because this matter is threatening the party,” he said on radio show adding that it is clear that a those politicising the matter are bent at causing a coup. Talk of different perspectives and dimensions!

Mutuluza power

Mawokota MP Peter Mutuluza (NRM) may be overly confident or something is wrong. When the speaker of Parliament was receiving the NSSF probe reports, Mutuluza demanded the resignation of the ministers and the directors of NSSF. He alleged that he had received a call from someone calling himself the personal assistant (PA) to security minister Amama Mbabazi, inviting him to a meeting. “The caller said the meeting was to discuss the Temangalo report. This is also influence-peddling,” he said.

Nationalist Mugisha

The commissioner of clinical services in the health ministry, Dr. Anthony Kenya-Mugisha, loves his country. Whenever Mugisha is officiating at any function where there are foreigners visiting Uganda, he makes sure that he reminds them of visiting the various tourist centres.“Before you leave this beautiful country, take off some time and tour around,” he told visitors from Kenya and the US during a recent orthopaedic conference at Hotel Africana in Kampala.
