THREE days after firing 10 goals past Sharing, Bunamwaya stormed Kakyeka stadium expecting yet another goal feast.

The visitors were however shocked by tough opposition that could have easily battled to a draw.

Caeser Okhuti, the five goal hero in Bunamwaya’s last match, and referee Kalifan Kanakulya are the people coach Jackson Mayanja should thank.

Kanakulya disallowed what looked like a genuine Phillip Gasana strike 24 minutes before Okhuti striking the winner.

Rowdy fans stormed the pitch after the final whistle and beat the referee before Police intervened.

At Nakivubo, Uganda's 2009 continental representatives battled to a draw. KCC, who will feature in the CAF Champions League, took a third minute lead off a Vincent Kayizzi goal.

But coach Frank “Video” Anyau got his act right in the second half with a side that had the champions back peddling.

Isaac Katwere leveled the score with 12 minutes left. But that was not good enough for Col. Jackson Tushabe’s team which felt it had been denied an earlier goal.

Simon Sserunkuma’s effort from a goalmouth scuffle hit the woodwork and seemed to land inside the goal before bouncing out.

URA were the day’s biggest achievers. The tax collectors whipped Bugerere in Ntengeru with a brace from Martin Muwanga on top of Dan Wagaluka and Sam Mubiru goals.

At Wankulukuku, visiting Nalubaale had its player David Kiwanuka sent off but not even that could stop the Mukono side from shooting down the Red Eagles.

Aziz Muganza headed in a corner 10 minutes into play to give Nalubaale a lead they held onto.

Police FC found itself in an unenviable position of trailing a team that had just succumbed to a 10 goal defeat when it conceded a 17 minute own goal.

They bounced back to win 3-1.

In Iganga, goals from Mathias Ndaula and Geoffrey Luutu gave SC Villa three crucial points in a match where the home side was consoled by an Edgar Luzige goal.
