- Justin ‘The Ugandan Destroyer’ Juuko is in Chelny, Russia for his IBF lightweight title challenge against Russian Rustam Nugaev on Saturday. He left on Monday with his manager Abbey Alum Mugayi after an intensive two weeks training at Pal Pal gym in Nairobi. However the International Boxing Federation (IBF) had not sanctioned the fight by Monday claiming that Juuko is not among the 10 best ranked boxers.

Busamaga Football Club goalkeeper Godfrey Wambi has been suspended for one year after he stripped before a referee during a First Division soccer match at Islamic University playground in Mbale last month.

Jinja, not Gulu, to host Open
- The Uganda darts Open that was due in Gulu this month has been moved to Jinja. The Nile Breweries sponsored event due Nov. 23-24 will be held at Garden Pub, according to the local darts association secretary Jimmy Ross Oyamo. The change was on request of players from Kenya and Tanzania.
