UGANDA hopes to seal the 2008 Central African Motocross Challenge in the decisive round in Kampala this weekend. It was switched from Dar es Salaam due to financial constraints.

Uganda’s captain Arthur Blick is confident his team, which is just 306 points behind Kenya, will ride on the home advantage to snatch the overall title on Saturday and Sunday. After two legs Kenya leads with 1659 points, Uganda 1356 and Tanzania trails with 107.

“Like we did in the first leg, we shall take full advantage of competing at home. We have had adequate training,” Blick, said at the launch yesterday.

The event sponsored by Mountain Dew Soda to the tune of sh17m will take place at Garuga.

Meanwhile, The Jomayi sprint due this Sunday at Mbalala in Mukono will be free for fans, thanks to sponsors Jomayi Property Consultants.

The sprint has so far attracted 20 drivers including an ardent vocal fan Nasser Mutebi who will make his debut in a brand new Subaru Impreza.
