WARID Telecom has won this year’s Customer Service Provider of the Year Award. The telecom firm received the honour at the 3rd Annual Communications Middle East-Africa (MEA) Awards, the most prestigious event dedicated to the regions communications sector.

WARID Telecom has won this year’s Customer Service Provider of the Year Award. The telecom firm received the honour at the 3rd Annual Communications Middle East-Africa (MEA) Awards, the most prestigious event dedicated to the regions communications sector.

Tushar Maheshwari, the WARID chief commercial officer, said the award was a true reflection of their customers and attributed the win to customer-centric approach.

“The judges felt Warid has shown dedication to its customers by going the extra mile. “While most operators expect their customer to visit them to pay bills, arrange a new mobile account or update their phone, Warid has taken extra steps to help customers who may have difficulty reaching its main offices by visiting them in remote areas in our mobile customer care centre,” he said.

The awards organised by ITP Technology Publishing are aimed at celebrating and paying tribute to the telecoms industry professionals and operators whohave shown outstanding performance and results in key market segments.

They were also chosen investing in technology, implementing winning strategies and developing services that capture the hearts and minds of end users.

Eleven other firms won awardsawards were presented at the ceremony in categories that encompassed a different facets of the telecoms industry from individual excellence, to corporate success, to outstanding service and expertise in implementation.

In addition to these categories, there was also the hotly contested category of lifetime achievement award, awarded to an individual who has helped shape and inspire the Middle East and Africa telecoms market.

The winners were judged by a prestigious panel of industry experts, selected from within the regional communications sector.

The awards acknowledged those operators and individuals who have taken a leadership role in the growth of the regional industry.

The winners were chosen for consistently investing in technology, implementing winning strategies and developing services that capture the hearts and minds of end users.
