A TOTAL of 4,000 candidates have been shortlisted for interviews to join the Police. The candidates want to join as learner assistant inspectors of Police and assistant superintendents of Police.

The candidates will sit for an aptitude test at Didis World entertainment centre on January 20.

Only 250 applicants will be selected.
The list was pinned up at the Kibuli Police headquarters notice board mid this week, drawing hordes of curious applicants.
The candidates are part of 7,000 people who applied to join the force in November last year.

“Out of the 250 required, 176 will go for general duties while the rest will fall under specialised duties,” Police spokesman Edward Ochom said yesterday.

According to the notice, those to do the aptitude test will do general duties.
They include accountants/auditor investigation, mechanical engineers, economists, statisticians and air craft technician.

“Those who will pass the test will immediately go for a nine-months training course at the Masindi Police Training School,” Ochom added.
