SIR — I wish to correct the article published in The new Vision of January 17 entitled “People warned on financeâ€.
I was reported to have warned Ugandans at St Peter’s catholic Church, Kamenya in Kumi district during a fundraising on January 13 that they should not wait for Bonna Bagaggawale (Prosperity For All).
I did not say that. What I said as I was officiating as guest of honour was that the Bonna Bagaggawale scheme is targeting prosperity for all through:
Increased production and productivity
Value additions (processing)
Marketing (transportation)
Savings Credit Cooperative Organisations.
Contrary to the report, I emphasised the need for mobilisation and readiness as we implement this policy.
