Pupils in some of these schools go without porridge because they have not contributed three kilogrammes of maize and sh500-1000 per term.

According to responses I got from Namukubembe, Bukanga and Busalaamu villages in Iganga, many parents can afford the maize but not the sh1,000 to mill it.

Sometimes the maize rots in the stores!
