<b>Church chief facing arrest</b><br>KAMPALA - A church director is facing arrest over alleged embezzlement of sh99.5m. The warrant was issued after Michael Kisembo of Uganda Ecumenical Church failed to turn up to plead to the charge.

KAMPALA - A church director is facing arrest over alleged embezzlement of sh99.5m. The warrant was issued after Michael Kisembo of Uganda Ecumenical Church failed to turn up to plead to the charge. Buganda Road Court Magistrate Stella Amabilis also summoned Barasa Mutenda, programme manager at the church, with whom Kisembo allegedly committed the offence between July 1996 and December 2001.

Chef fined for assault
KAMPALA - A chef was fined sh300,000 for assaulting a fellow employee at a bar on Rubaga Road. Badru Matovu burnt Sylvia Namubiru with a hot saucepan during a quarrel at the bar on March 14, 2006. Namubiru sustained injuries on her face. Matovu was sentenced by Mwanga II Road Court Magistrate Boniface Wamala.
