Artistes walk for charity

UGANDAN artistes, under the Charity Walkers’ Club, held a charity walk to raise funds for the Barlonyo Displaced People’s Camp in Lira district on Sunday.
UGANDAN artistes, under the Charity Walkers’ Club, held a charity walk to raise funds for the Barlonyo Displaced People’s Camp in Lira district on Sunday.
Because it was happening for the first time, the charity walk attracted just a few artistes. They walked for six kilometres, starting at Blue Africa Bar on Crested Tours, through Shimoni Road, Yusuf Lule Road, Jinja Road, Wampeewo Avenue, Lugogo bypass, Kira Road, to Golf Club and back to Blue Africa.
Geoffrey Ayeni, the Charity Walkers’ president, said the event will be weekly and it will include the public starting on Sunday.
