GULU - “I attribute my success in the UACE to The New Vision because towards the final examinations, I was only reading the sample questions in the newspaper,” said Richard Obuku. The former student of Gulu Central High School emerged the fourth-best student in the district. He got 4DBCD in sciences. Obuku wants to study medicine.

Girl conquers Gulu district
GULU - Violet Akech of Sacred Heart Secondary School was the overall best sciences student in the district in last year’s A’Level examinations. Akech got a credit 3 in General Paper and BBBE in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Agriculture respectively. She hopes to study medicine at the university.

Tailor’s son excels
SOROTI - Emmanuel Ogaino of Teso College was the third-best arts student in the district. The 17-year-old boy scored 3BBBD in General Paper, History, Economics, Literature and Divinity. Ogaino is the son of a tailor, Margaret Aliba.
