Oldies rocked, Tuff Gong next
lDJs Shai, Paul and Josh awakened people’s memories with great oldies’ music at Ange Mystique’s Oldies Night on Friday. Like is often the case at such down memory lane moments, the club was packed to capacity, dancing to Sister Sledge, Boney M, Diana Ross, Bee Gees, Donna Summer, James Ingram and Rick Astley, etc. Two lucky revellers won Nokia phones. This Friday at the Tuff Gong Night, reggae fans will dance to the spinning of the discs from Ange Noir’s DJ Mark Rebel and Nairobi-based King Tubbs of Lions Sounds.

No Face of Africa this year
lM-Net has announced that Face of Africa will rest this year. The decision to remove the competition from this year’s production line-up comes as the channel looks for productions that deliver wider TV audiences. M-Net director of operations for Sub-Saharan Africa said: “M-Net launched Face of Africa in 1998, as an early step in marking our commitment to the continent. With the success of Big Brother Africa, Survivor Africa, AfricaMagic, Channel O and a slew of home-grown content, we can proudly say our commitment to Africa is absolute.
