Church builds Gulu school

THE construction of a 1.5b. modern primary school has been launched by the Bethel Christian Center, based in the United States, in Paminanano village, Gulu district to provide education to the war affected children in northern Uganda.

THE construction of a 1.5b. modern primary school has been launched by the Bethel Christian Center, based in the United States, in Paminanano village, Gulu district to provide education to the war affected children in northern Uganda.

"It's a landmark revolution by the church over the local government,” the district speaker, Martin Ojara Mapenduzi said while launching its construction on Thursday.

He castigated other churches for not helping the community ,
The construction managed by the Gospel Messenger church in Kampala and Soul Gospel church in Gulu district, will comprise of classroom blocks, hostels, dinning hall, dormitories, teachers' houses, playgrounds and a health unit.

A community volunteer, Betty Adong, donated 10 acres of land .
Ojara appealed to the community to support the project and urged parents to send their children to school. He also cautioned the youth on overdrinking.
