Who is to blame in this PRA saga?

SIR — I have a number of unanswered questions about the PRA issue.

SIR — I have a number of unanswered questions about the PRA issue.

First, instead of battling with this bail thing, couldn’t we just get the PRA treason case heard at the
earliest possible time so that it is done away with? As far as I know bail is not the end of the story.

Second, wasn’t it a breach of the law for people granted bail to refuse to vacate court premises?

Couldn’t they be charged with trespass? Is the judiciary biased?

Thirdly, couldn’t the security forces exercise patience; let the bailed people walk free and later summon them for the new cases?

Lastly, can’t Ugandans stop politicising issues relating to the Judiciary and is there any way we can have new judges that have no political inclination?
Who will help answer my questions?

SIR — What happened in court last week will confirm that the current government’s foundation of leadership is cracking. Whoever is behind all this disrespect of the law is not different from the past bad leaders.

The President should cross check his advisors and take action before one dirty frog spoils the entire clean water. He should ignore advice which may tarnish the image of our country.
