SIR— I would like to thank Cineplex for the good job of ensuring that they show Uganda the Last King of Scotland which started on February 23. I appreciate the excitement to watch the film is overwhelming but my quarrel is with the ticket allocation to the film watchers. I went to buy a ticket and found only two VIP tickets remaining.

Although we were many, I was lucky enough to grab them for myself and my colleague.
I smiled all the way to the entrance but to my surprise my colleague entered before me but I was stopped from entering because ‘I had no seat’ since the VIP was full. However, the officials at the entrance made some effort to ensure I got a seat in the VIP section.

To my surprise there were many unoccupied seats in the hall and yet many people had been denied entrance on the pretext that the tickets for the VIP section were sold out!

Later on I found out that the person who had occupied my seat was an employee of Cineplex. although she had bought an ordinary ticket she had refused to leave my seat!
Cineplex should clarify on the benefits of its members because I watched the film with the fear that any moment I would be kicked out by the person who had paid for that seat. Is this the best way of winning over customers?
