BADRU Lusambya is hitting the punching bag harder than before. Team Lusambya say their boxer is able to concentrate and not worry about anything else because sponsors believe in him.
The fight is close to being fully bankrolled after Jomayi Property Consultants offered sh1m.
Uganda Direct, Uganda’s leading travel and information directory had earlier pledged sh1m, Fairway Hotel will offer the venue while Uhuru Restaurant will offer food. Other co-sponsors are Midcom Group of Companies and Hotel Diplomat.
“It’s great news that other sponsors have come on board for this fight,†Geoffrey “Evander†Kasule, director of Big Strikers said.
Lusambya puts his Africa Boxing Union light middleweight title on the line against seasoned Tanzanian fighter Hassan ‘Red Bull’ Matumla.
