LONG-SERVING Uganda Netball Federation secretary Rosette Kaala has declared her interest in the association’s top seat – the presidency – during the federation elections.

The federation convenes on Saturday for an annual general assembly at National Council of Sports (NCS) Lugogo offices.

Kaala said it is time for her to offer herself for the federation’s top seat, after serving as general secretary for five two-year terms.

“For the ten years I have been secretary I feel I have generated enough experience to run for the highest office,” Kaala said.

Outgoing president Lydia Bukenya has blessed Kaala to take the mantle.

“For all the years we have been in service together, Kaala has convinced me that she is capable to take over from me,” Bukenya said.

Kaala, a manager at Posta Uganda, is also team manager of the institution’s Posta Netball Club.
