A superb performance from Tornado’s new-ball bowler Charles Waiswa (3-12) and spinner Baig Akbar (3-12) put them through to the Luswata Cup final on Sunday, reports Ronnie Kintu.

Tornado dumped Sam Walusimbi’s Wanderers with a crushing 47-run victory in a low scoring semifinal in Entebbe.

For the second time, Tornado’s batsmen failed to perform and only a few late blows from Akbar (43) inspired the side to a pathetic 100 runs in a rain shortened match.

At Lugogo, Africa kept their hopes of defending the title alive with a remarkable 71 run victory over Tornado B.

Belinda Nakiganda failed to lead Makerere University to victory on Saturday as her side collapsed to City HS in the Luswata women league.
