The ex-servicemen petitioned the Court of Appeal after losing their bid for salary arrears and terminal benefits in the high Court, which ruled that the men were no longer in active service. However, the Appeals Court ruled last week that the ex-servicemen were part of the national army and were entitled to the same treatment as serving soldiers. The court also ordered that the Government processes formal discharge certificates for them.
