THE NEW VISION has launched two revision textbooks for primary school candidates.

The books are strongly recommended for every school child in primary five, six and seven.
Dubbed Pass PLE, one textbook contains questions and answers in English and Social Studies, while the other one covers Mathematics and Science.

The books are a compilation of 40 question pullouts published in The New Vision in 2005 and 2006, following numerous requests from teachers, pupils and parents.

The colourful illustrations and pictures in the Pass PLE pull-out have been maintained, to make easy reading.

Copies are on sale at The New Vision’s outlets or agents countrywide. Each book costs sh10, 000.

“We thought of the millions of Ugandan school children who would benefit from professionally produced test-yourself examination material, published on newsprint,” said Deputy Editor-in-Chief Barbara Kaija.

She thanked Stanbic Bank for sponsoring the initiative and for its interest in promoting education.

Produced by a team of brilliant senior teachers, Pass PLE can be used by any teacher in a classroom setting or by learners in informal discussion groups.

It is also a useful guide for parents who want to help their children revise and for individual learners to study or use the ‘test-yourself’ approach.
