The reigning 3000m steeplechase world champion Dorcus Inzikuru has promised to win more gold for Uganda when she contests in the World Athletics Championships in Japan this year.

She said this soon after receiving a sh100m three-bedroom house. The bungalow, constructed by UPDF on behalf of government, was handed over to Inzikuru on Thursday evening by the state minister for defence Ruth Nankabirwa.

“I want my national anthem to be sung again on that day and therefore I ask everybody to pray for me because with God all things are possible,” stressed Inzikuru.
Inzikuru’s parents, Jackson Lulua and Joyce Timaru attended the function in Arua.

Former vice president Gen. Mustafa Adrisi and the UPDF 409 Brigade commander Lt. Col Hussein Kimbowa attended.
