‘Pray for AU Somalia forces’
KAMPALA - Ugandans should pray for the soldiers in Somalia and not condemn their mission, Pastor Robert Kayanja has said. “Uganda is built on God and if we abandon our position spiritually, we are bound to suffer. The men and women in Somalia need our support in prayer not criticism.”
He called upon Ugandans to develop a spirit of nationalism and love for one another. Speaking during the Easter service yesterday at Rubaga Miracle Centre under the theme ‘Going somewhere’ Kayanja said many Christians had become complacent with God and were no longer praying. He revealed that it was time for
Uganda to repent in the commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Rotary donates to the blind
JINJA - Pupils of Balitwegomba School of the Blind on Saturday received Easter gifts from the Jinja Rotary Club led by its President William Okello. The donations included 50kg of maize flour, 30kg of rice, 26 bars of soap, 10kg of meat, two crates of soda, two cartoons of flavoured milk, a tray of eggs, loaves of bread, biscuits, 10kg of sugar, salt, toothbrushes, toothpaste, tea leaves and a bale of clothes. The school, with about 30 pupils, is one of the projects supported by the club. Jane Bukenya, the headmistress of Spire Road Primary School where the centre is located, commended the rotarians for their support. She said five pupils from the centre sat for Primary Leaving Examinations last year. Two joined secondary schools, while the others were advised to repeat because they failed maths.
