SEASONED Jimmy Adar was on the losing side during Saturday’s Kampala Athletics trial.
Standard High’s Adar, who had won the 800m event with ease after beating Makerere College’s Isaac Cheruyot, failed to tame Prisons’ Samuel Andabati in the 400m. Andabati won the race by over a second at the newly refurbished Makerere University Main Ground.
There was also a photo finish in the 100m event when Daniel Oketch and Julius Kasule both clocked 11.2 seconds
Kampala International University’s Annet Kabasindi threw a 47.17 in javelin, a new season best.
