SADAT Kakaire struck the lone goal as Heroes stunned KCC in the Super League at Mbale Municipal stadium yesterday.
Sadat headed home the winner after KCC custodian Musa Lukungu fumbled a powerful shot by Heroes’ new Kenyan striker Geoffrey Tietie.
The defeat at the hands of relegation threatened Heroes dealt KCC’s soccer title hope a major blow.
“This is just the beginning of Heroes’ struggle to survive relegation,†Heroes coach Jimmy Muguwa promised his fans.
At Nakivubo, minnows City Lads held Kinyara to a goalless draw on a day of upsets.
