BASKETBALL-Kaboha brothers Nimrod and Silvan will lead the Kampala City Council (KCC) basketball sides at this year’s East and Central Africa Inter Cities tournament.The tournament is set for Nairobi May 21-27 with Nimrod, the head coach of KIU, handling the women’s team while Silvan, coach of Kyambogo Warriors, handling the men.

Kurji out
RALLYING-Riyaz Kurji will not defend his Rwanda Mountain Gorilla Rally title due to business commitments. “It is unfortunate my business commitments haven’t allowed me defend my title for the third time. I hope Katto will do us proud down there in Rwanda,” said Riyaz. The 800km event , will start with a Super special stage in Kigali on Friday.

Juuko wins
BOXING-Justin Juuko returned to the professional ring with a points win over Kenyan Joseph Miyomo. Veteran Miyomo stretched Juuko through the 10 rounds in the Super Light weight non title fight at Fair Way Hotel on Sunday. Juuko said he is tuning up for CHOGM fights in November.
