HIMA Cement has rewarded transporters and drivers who have excelled in observing road safety rules since the launch of the campaign last year, writes Mark Owor.
The company’s chairman, Michel Puchercos, said while marking the road safety week that there has been tremendous improvement in road safety among the transporters and drivers.
“Today’s awards are in recognition of the effort our suppliers are putting in ensuring that they safeguard their lives and the lives of others on the road by behaving responsibly,†Puchercos said at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
He said the road safety campaign aims eliminating road accidents.
