BUDDO SS are confident they can maintain their great run at the Coca Cola Schools Cup when the knockout stage starts today.

“I am confident I can make it to the final. My target is now on the trophy,” Buddo coach Mathias Lule said yesterday.

The Wakiso soccer outfit is led by the strike force of Segawa Mbuga and Michael Majwega.

Defending champions St. Mary’s SS Kitende who led Group A, face St Geralds Nyakibale after Royal Giants of Mityana were thrown out for using mercenaries. Kitende is led by Edward Mubiru who is on top of the scorers’ chart with 12 goals.

Former champions Kibuli SS face a tricky tie when they clash with surprise package Mehta SS of Lugazi.

Mehta, who finished third in the Mukono qualifiers, came to the annual soccer tournament as substitutes after Kasawo SS and Dynamic SS were disqualified for irregularities.
