THE draw for the group phase of the African Champions League will be held out outside the continent for the first time, on May 28 on the fringes of the FIFA Congress in Zurich.

JOHANNESBURG - THE draw for the group phase of the African Champions League will be held out outside the continent for the first time, on May 28 on the fringes of the FIFA Congress in Zurich.

The Confederation of African Football will also conduct the draw for the group phase of the continent’s second club competition, the African Confederation Cup, at the same time.

JS Kabylie (Algeria), ASEC Abidjan (Ivory Coast), Al Ittihad (Libya), Royal Armed Forces (Morocco), Al Hilal (Sudan), the Tunisian duo of Esperance and Etoile Sahel and holders Al Ahli of Egypt are the teams who have qualified for the league phase of the African Champions League, offering the biggest prize in club football in Africa.
