Nsubuga settles for bronze in Peace run

JOSEPH Nsubuga clocked two hours 20 minutes and 23 seconds to win bronze in Sunday’s Rwanda Peace Marathon. The former MTN Kampala International marathon winner fell to Kenya’s Daniel Rotich and Ronal Kandie in a slow-paced race in the outskirts of Rwanda’s capital, Kigali.

JOSEPH Nsubuga clocked two hours 20 minutes and 23 seconds to win bronze in Sunday’s Rwanda Peace Marathon. The former MTN Kampala International marathon winner fell to Kenya’s Daniel Rotich and Ronal Kandie in a slow-paced race in the outskirts of Rwanda’s capital, Kigali.

Uganda’s Nicholas Kiprono won silver in the half marathon, while Jane Suuto finished sixth in the women half marathon.

Meanwhile, Rueben Twijukye qualified for the Algiers 800m All Africa Games with a time of 1:47.40 in the New Balance indoor championship in America on Sunday.

r Abraham Chepkirwok’s third place finish in the Qatar Super Grand Prix on Friday has made him top the 2007 World Athletics Tour standing in the 800m event. He clocked 1:45.14.
