NEW Vision’s own columnist, Aldrine Nsubuga has been selected by Supersport to provide the Ugandan perspective in the live television broadcast of the June 2 Nations Cup qualifier.

Nsubuga, New Vision’s renowned Voice Of Football, will analyse the make-or-break match between the Cranes and Super Eagles alongside a Nigerian pundit this Saturday.

An elated Nsubuga revealed to The New Vision that the opportunity was “both deeply rewarding and flattering.”

He added: “It’s really satisfying since I have dedicated half my life to football. It’s a fulfillment of a dream and career-wise, I think it’s a move in the right direction.”

The Uganda-Nigeria game will be the only game televised by DStv and will be telecast on Supersport channels 3 and 8 to a continental audience.

A prominent Liverpool fan, it won’t be Nsubuga’s first foray into television.

He’s a regular analyst on Uganda Broadcasting Corporation.

Nsubuga also writes two weekly columns for The New Vision, a monthly piece for the Premiership Magazine and is a panelist on a weekend sports show on Sanyu FM.

A FUFA publicist, he won the Golden Pen award for best columnist last year and was voted third best all-round columnist by The New Vision readers.
