When he began eating the curry, she laughed out loud and told him it was full of arsenic before confessing she had actually put dog excrement in the curry. The judge has deferred sentencing until November, though the couple have since begun divorce proceedings.

The alleged situation came to light when another teacher thought Tonya Johnson was a little too close to a 12-year-old boy. Then the teacher discovered a love letter in the trash and turned it over to the principal. The boy’s mother said she was shocked at what she read. Johnson was given the option to resign, which she did.

Last year court gave permission for the woman to carry out a surrogate birth because her daughter was unable to carry a pregnancy to term due to health problems.
