WAKISO
Six men suspected to have murdered Patrick Wanda, a former employee of Civil Aviation Authority, have been detained at Entebbe Police Station, pending further investigations. Wanda went missing last November and his body was found over five months later in a partially built pit-latrine in Lugonjo-Nakiwogo village. He was identified by relatives who recognised his clothes. Wanda was reportedly murdered soon after receiving his retirement package of about sh40m. His wife, Winfred Nakalema, who was earlier arrested over the murder, was released due to lack of evidence. She vanished after her release.

Students tried over delivery
KAMPALA
Two nursing students at Mulago Hospital, Diana Nakidde and Julius Barigye, are on trial for allegedly pretending to be medical personnel and performing an unauthorised delivery of triplets. A nurse at Mulago, Namazzi Nakayiza, said Nakidde was dressed like a doctor during her arrest. Grade One Magistrate Esther Nambayo issued a warrant of arrest for Barigye, for failure to appear in court after he was granted bail.
