AFRICAN light middleweight champion Badru Lusambya has landed a training invitation at one of USA’s top boxing centres.

Lusambya, 16 (15kos) 0-0, will sharpen up for his next title defence in Kampala at the Great Western Forum, southern California.

His hosts The Forum Boxing Inc, who are renowned boxing promoters, are synonymous with some of the most famed world championship fights in California.

Forum Boxing in conjunction with leading television networks like ESPN and KCAL also broadcast weekly boxing contests.

“It’s a great opportunity that should be utilised,” noted Geoffrey Kasule, a director in Lusambya’s management team, Big Strikers International.

Forum Boxing will cater for all Lusambya’s costs for the entire month he will be in California.

His travel expenses will be met by Kampala Central Division boss Godfrey Nyakaana and ISO deputy director Brig. Elly Kayanja.

Lusambya will travel with Big Strikers directors David Kyambadde and Ernest Matovu.

The trio is set to leave for the US next week.
