The national post primary schools athletics championship has been moved from Entebbe to Fort Portal. The change came after Entebbe SS were unable to hold an event of the magnitude of an annual event, according to Uganda Schools Sports Association secretary Patrick Okanya.

Biribonwa Cup
All is set for Bunyoro inter-county Biribonwa Cup soccer semi-finals. Kibanda faces Bugangaizi on June 23 before Bujenje taking on Kibaale in the second semi-final the next day. Kibaale advanced to the penultimate stage after beating Buhaguzi 2-1 and Bujenje outwitted Bugahya.

Driver Horsey is Ugandan
Kenyan Peter Horsey has acquired a Ugandan license and will compete here for the rest of the season. Federation of Motorsport Clubs of Uganda vice president Kisitu Mayanja confirmed that Horsey competed as a Ugandan driver in the MOSAC rally in which he finished second. Horsey is now based in Kampala.

No money yet
The Ugandan contingent to the All Africa Games in Algeria is tentatively set to depart on July 4. But the ministry of education and sports is yet to raise sh350m budgeted for the Games starting July 11.
