THERE comes a time when the shampoo runs out, no moisturiser and no cotton wool.

There are many places in town that sell beauty products, so to ease your shopping here is where to go.

Charms on Jinja Road and another branch at Garden City on Yusuf Lule Road, have a wide range of beauty products like perfumes, lotions and hair extensions.

Body Care at Metropole House on Entebbe Road is another place to find hair oils and lip colour. There is also a Body Care branch at Pioneer mall.

For the face, you can buy toners, moisturisers, scrubs and cleansers.

However, when shopping for facial treatments, make sure you purchase stuff that is appropriate for your skin type. It does not make sense to buy a cleanser that is for all skin types because each skin type has particular needs.

If you are not sure what your skin type is, then consult a professional beautician.
For locally made beauty products, shopping spots like Embrace at Garden City and Avoa Beauty on Buganda Road offer moisturisers, cleansers and soaps.

Ori Kahana, a beautician at Avoa, makes scented soap in eye catching colours like green and yellow. Scented soap costs sh5,000.

Embrace sells toners at sh15,000 while a set of soaps including a scrub and a cleanser go for sh9,000.

For hair products, it is also important to consult a professional hairdresser in order to make the right purchase.

If your hair is prone to breakage and is damaged, then it is advisable to buy protein rich hair treatments like TCB and deep penetrating treatments.

Also look out for hair oils that will make your hair healthier.
