THE Confederation of Africa Volleyball (CAVB) will inspect Lugogo indoor stadium again before clearing Uganda to host the 16th Africa Women’s Volleyball Championship, September 1-15.

CAVB boss Amr Elwani inspected the stadium on Tuesday and recommended improvements on its illumination and the floor.

Elwani asked government and Uganda Volleyball Federation to complete the renovations before inspection on August 2.

“I have come here to support (UVF president) Tom Omongole because I know once this tournament is held here, volleyball standards will rise,” Elwani told sports minister Charles Bakkabulindi.
