THE Inspector General of Government, Justice Faith Mwondha, has vowed to fight corruption, saying her appointment was divine.
“The job God gave me is by divine assignment. I am merely a weapon not just the woman Faith, because the One in me is bigger,†Mwondha told a congregation at Family Faith Church at Kabusu in Rubaga, Kampala on Sunday.
Mwondha was called upon to greet the congregation during the celebrations to mark the 7th anniversary of Later Glory Ministries and the 3rd anniversary of Faith Family Church.
She told the congregation that President Yoweri Museveni was taking action against the corrupt due to God’s work through her.
“They are all corrupt. People are asking why President Yoweri Museveni is now moving on the corrupt. It is God’s work.â€
She pointed out that the corrupt are yet to be terrified, “gakyaali mabaga†(this is just the beginning).
Mwondha argued that while soldiers use the gun to fight, she uses the word of God. Pastor Denis Kasirye gave her a certificate of recognition for her crusade against corruption.
She also rapped some media houses for telling lies. “I don’t want to hit headlines because people want to sell newspapers. I am a loyal servant of Christ, I am a soldier of Christ. The media is just gossip. It can’t waste my time.â€
Mwondha urged born-again Christians not to fear persecution from detractors of the truth because Christ is with them.
“Why do you fear one who just destroys the flesh but not the spirit?†she asked.
Mwondha read a scripture in 1 John 4: 13-15 which states: “We know that we live in Him and He in us, because He has given us His spirit. If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God.â€
She criticised the born-again Christians who fear to declare Christ publicly.
“When we are in Christ, there is no fear. I have the courage to do a divine assignment. I have to evoke the law without fear or favour,†she said
Pastor Kasirye of Faith Family Church thanked Mwondha for her boldness in crusading against corruption.
