FORMER Uganda champions SC Villa were held to a goalless draw in the second match of the Tusker Challenge Cup at CCM Kirumba stadium in Mwanza on Sunday.
Villa were unlucky not to have clinched the match with numerous scoring chances that went begging.
Alex Ndugga missed a gilt-edged opportunity in the 15th minute when, with only Young Africans (popularly called Yanga) goalkeeper Shadrack Nsajigwa to beat, he blasted wide.
Yanga’s Said Maulid breached the Jogoos' defence in the 24th minute, but his shot hit the crossbar. The tournament continues today when Tusker faces Prisons in the Group A match.
