Ecweru advises on fire brigades
Kampala
The state minister for relief and disaster preparedness, Musa Ecweru, has called for the formation of a fire brigade, which is not under the Uganda Police Force. He said this would help improve the problem of fire outbreaks in the country. Ecweru was speaking a workshop on disaster management at Hotel Africana last week. Every district should have its own fire brigade, he urged. The workshop was attended by the UN aid humanitarian coordinator, Keith Mackenzie.
