CAIRO International Bank has donated food items worth sh2m to feed the abandoned children in Sanyu Babies Home.

Moona Lukwanzi, the marketing manager, handed over the donation to Rev. Florence Namala, the home’s administration recently.
Lukwanzi said the bank had grown since its inception in 1995.

She said with the large customer base, the profits made were channelled to support the needy.

“We wish to share our success with the less privileged because we believe that it is in our giving that we get the fulfilling returns on our investments,” Lukwanzi said.

She said the National Bank of Egypt and Banque Du Caire contribute towards charity causes annually.

Namala lauded the bank for the support.

Namala appealed to other organisations to support the abandoned children because the home does not have an independent source of income to run its numerous and demanding activities under its mandate.

The home is the major resident for the city’s abandoned children.
