PRA bail case for Friday

MBARARA-The High Court has set Friday for hearing of a fresh bail application for two PRA suspects facing other charges of murder. Frank Atukunda and Robert Tweyambe were on July 25 returned to Nyamushekyera Prison in Bushenyi, after their bail application was rejected. Justice Paul Mugamba concurred with the prosecution that granting bail to the accused would interfere with investigations.


Medics warned on transfers

KANUNGU-The chief administrative officer, Moses Kanyarutokye, has warned medical officers who resist transfers that they risk losing their jobs. Addressing medics recently, he said those on transfer connive with heads of health centres. Kanyarutokye explained that the transfers were to improve health services and not to victimise the medics.
