Works wants weighbridge suppliers

THE works ministry is seeking suppliers for the mobile weighbridges and their accessories, according to a procurement website. The purchase is being funded by the World Bank as part of the East African Trade and Transport Facilitation Project.

THE works ministry is seeking suppliers for the mobile weighbridges and their accessories, according to a procurement website. The purchase is being funded by the World Bank as part of the East African Trade and Transport Facilitation Project.

The supplies include four mobile weighbridges, vans, uninterruptible power supply, laser jet printers and generators.

The website advised interested bidders to get more information from the office of the assistant commissioner for policy planning/project coordinator. The bid documents can also be inspected at the same office.

Requirements for qualification for bidders include a copy of the bidders’ trading licence, certificate of registration, income tax clearance and the Value Added Tax registration certificate.Bid documents cost sh100,000.

They should be delivered to the procurement office of the works ministry in Entebbe with a sh15m bid security by August 22.
