FUFA confirms CRO promotion
FUFA has dismissed a petition by Jinja FC and confirmed CRO FC as Eastern region representative in the 2007/8 Super League. Jinja had alleged that Children Reformation Outreach fielded an ineligible player, Fred Ssemujju. FUFA discovered that Ssemujju was not registered with any other club.

S. African wins N’bi auto event
Frank Verhoestraete was the best placed Ugandan rider when he finished 11th overall in the open category of the AMU Motocross championships in Nairobi on Sunday. The event was won by South Africa’s Brandon Wheeler with Zambia’s Michael Hacking coming in second.

Kitende leads Uganda charge
Coca-Cola Cup champions St. Mary’s Kitende SS lead the Ugandan charge in the East Africa Schools Games in Kisumu. The national soccer champions will defend the soccer title in the western Kenyan town on Aug. 25-Sept. 2. Others on the 23 Ugandan teams include cup runners up Masaka SS and Mulusa.

Edgars joins
