THE Mayor of Entebbe, Stephen Kabuye, has advised residents to maintain cleanliness to help fight disease. Kabuye and his councillors were visiting patients at Entebbe General Hospital.

Touring the TB Ward and the private wing, they handed out Christmas gifts which included sugar, rice and soap.
“Although you are suffering, we have you at heart and pray to the Lord to raise a healing hand over you,” Kabuye told the patients.

The medical superintendent, Dr. Moses Muwanga, lamented the shortage of staff, which complicates the hospital’s work.

“Many of the staff who were transferred to other hospitals were never replaced,” he said.
