THE DP deputy national campaign coordinator Fred Mukasa Mbidde has employed all the tactics to sell his candidate, John Ssebaana Kizito to the voters. Addressing the press yesterday at the UYD offices, Mbidde asked the public to ignore President Yoweri Museveni in the election. He said, “Voters should not consider Museveni because he has already despised them. How can he use a picture on his poster when he is wearing a shirt he wears when he is looking after his cattle yet he wants people to vote for him and take up an office job?â€

SHE hit headlines when she fought her co-wife in court. She has again started hitting headlines but this time in the political arena. Mayi Kiggundu, wife to the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) national chairman Dr. Sulaiman Kiggundu has no good words for NRM’s presidential candidate Yoweri Musecveni. Mayi amused the crowd at an FDC rally in Wakiso on Monday when she said that Museveni’s government was made of his friends and in-laws. She said, “I want to thank you for successfully abandoning Museveni, now I want to ask you to show him the exit by voting for Dr. Besigye. Museveni is undermining Buganda and is despising our Kabaka, the very reason why you should resist himâ€.

PRESIDENT Yoweri Museveni has likened his main challenger the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) presidential candidate Dr. Kizza Besigye to former dictator Idi Amin. While campaigning in Rukungiri, Museveni said there was no difference between the late Idi Amin and Dr. Kizza Besigye and urged people not to vote for him. The attack could also confirm what Gulu municipality MP Nobert Mao said that it is not only politics between Museveni and Besigye but it simply personal vendetta.

STATE minister for health Mike Mukula has no good words for the FDC. Mukula who is also the National Resistance Movement (NRM) vice chairperson for Eastern Region, is doing all it takes to paint FDC black so that people do not vote it in power. Addressing the press recently at the fairway hotel to unveil the plans to woo voters for NRM Mukula said, “People should not vote for the Forum for Democratic Confusion. They are disgruntled lot and they don’t have anything new to offer.â€
