A little over two years ago, Grace Nakalema was praying to God to create a special partner for her only. She did this in her prayer request song titled ‘Mukama Nsaba Ontondere omuntu nga wange bwomu.

The gracious and beautiful Nakalema wants to tell her fans that her prayer has come to pass. God has given her a partner. She reveals this vividly in her latest gig, Nafunye Omuntu. You must have already heard the catch chorus that goes “Nafunye Omuntu Mukama gwenamusaba...”

This is Nakalema’s latest chart bursting album already causing a stir on the local music scene. Kinene of Diamonds Production produced the album, which was recorded at Dreams Studios in Kamwokya. She says it is a new year’s gift for music lovers.

Tracks on the six–track album, topped by Nafuna Omuntu, include: Nkuwe Omutima, Nyumirwa, Mutuwase, Takumarira Budde and Komawo Mukwano. It is a love-packed album sung in Luganda and recorded in a unique combination of Zouk and Afro-beat style.

The narrative on Nafuna Omuntu describes the man who disappointed Nakalema in her first relationship. The lyrics behind Nakalema’s first hit, Nsaba Ontondere Omuntu, that burnt Kampala music charts in 2004, give a true story about this man who proved to be untrustworthy. It was this nasty experience that inspired the 25-year-old singer to compose the song.
