AT the age of 32, Jane Ssenfuma, a mother of three is not scared to make her step into the local gospel music industry.

Ssenfuma announced her arrival onto the local scene recently with a debut six-track album titled Omwoyo Wa Mukama (God’s Spirit).

Although this is her maiden solo professional recording, Ssenfuma has been singing with the Kasubi-based End Time Choir of United Christian Centre.

Together, they have one eight-track album to their name. But, this time around, she has decided to go her own way by releasing a solo project.

Recorded and produced at Greater Sounds Studios on Old Kampala, Omwoyo Wa Mukama is sung in only Luganda. The CD also features Fruits of God’s Word band, who provide back up vocals.

According to the singer, Omwoyo Wa Mukama and Sitani Kimanye are already playing on some local radio stations including Family Fm, Maama Fm Tiger Fm and the Mukono-based Bunamisi. She will shoot the video for Omwoyo Wa Mukama very soon.

The other songs are Menyamenya, Okwagala Kwa Mukama, Yesu Omulokozi and Mukama Bwotamwesiga. Omwoyo Wa Mukama encourages Christians to always have trust in God. Ssenfuma set out as a praise leader at Prayer Palace in Wakiso in 1989. She started writing her songs between 1998 and 1999.
