HOIMA district chairman George Bagonza has criticised lands state minister Baguma Isoke for apologising to the Baganda over the remarks made before the commission of inquiry on Bunyoro.

Bagonza told a press conference at his office on Tuesday that Isoke’s apology was uncalled for since he had spoken the truth.

Last week Isoke apologised profusely after he accused the Baganda of committing atrocities in Bunyoro, which he said were worse than those unleashed by the LRA in northern Uganda.

He also accused the Baganda, British, and Bakiga of causing the land problems which are now obtaining in Bunyoro, especially Kibaale district.

Bagonza said the human rights abuses committed in Bunyoro by the Baganda and British colonialists are no longer a secret because they have been told to everybody.

“It makes little sense for the offended to apologise to the offender,” said Bagonza.
