The 40 were among hundreds who took part in the Dembe Back-to-School Bonanza that ran for one month.
Handing over the prizes, which included school bags, and scholastic materials such as books, pens, geometry sets, coloured pencils and Samona products, Dembe promotions manager Mbabazi Muleera a.k.a Bina Baby said the promotion aimed at rewarding their listeners.
“The listeners simply had to call in after hearing Bebe Cool’s song nkoleerra banabange play on Dembe fm and send out parental advice to holiday makers,” she said.
She said the messages urged holiday makers to abstain from sex, watch their morals and be disciplined. The promotion attracted 70 listeners.
